After completing Driver installation, the corresponding COM port for the programming cable will be displayed in the Device Manager of Window. The step next is just to choose this COM port in the programming software and other application software and keep other communication parameters as in the Default settings.   • Driver V3.0.5 is specifically for macOS 11 (Big Sur). For previous versions such as macOS 10.13, 10.14 and 10.15, V2.0.5 is still the current driver release.
  • Since Apple has adopted new security features on Apple silicon-based Macs, the security policy of the Mac needs to be changed before installing the driver. Please refer to this document for the detailed description of how the (first) installation has to be made.
  • All AXR4U, UR-RT and UR models which require TOOLS are also Big Sur (Intel/Apple silicon) compatible by installing the current TOOLS release after installing the Yamaha Steinberg USB driver V3.0.5. The TOOLS for UR-C already include this driver and no extra installation is needed.
