If I'm spending £1000 on a CPU and want air cooling, I'm obviously going to wait for a cooler which covers the entire IHS. As u/tetchip said, we had air coolers for the 220W egg cooker that was the FX-9590. Difference is, the FX-9590 had a small IHS with an already established socket, so could be used with existing high-end air coolers without.
